Headline 1 makes a claim, says it's all a big secret, quotes a huge amount and then tells the reader how they can do it easily! ... again ...

How does your mind react? Mine says .... "yeah, yeah, yeah, prove it". How about YOU?

Now headline 2 (or the 80 sales in 5 days headline) does this.

States the actual number backed up by a photograph (on the sales page) in line 1.

The smaller subheads are all ended with what? Re-read now for yourself.

Can you see it? It has a line of supporting text that teases them to keep reading further down. This line has a three-fold purpose.

1. To counteract the; yeah, yeah, yeah mindset.

2. To support the claim made in the bullet.

3. To take the reader by the hand and guide them further into the copy gently.

Did you see that? Was it obvious to you?

Maybe yes, maybe no, it's the tiny subtleties that make the huge difference to sales.

However again here are the facts ...

Of course, there are far more variables involved here but I hope this gives you a tiny insight into the difference between success and failure.
