Dead

Friend,
Last night I woke up
sweating. It was 3:42am dark but warm. I was thinking
about Harry (I'd been reading about him on a Spanish
beach). You see he didn't have to die. Do you know about
him? I mean ANYTHING about him?
He was an 84 year
old-timer that lived at the foot of the volcano Mount St
Helens for well over 50 years. In fact he lived there most
of his life.
He was the owner of
the Mt. St. Helens Lodge at Spirit Lake, where he
lived with 16 cats, a pink Cadillac and a large,
endless supply of bourbon.
His lodge was a story of
births, deaths, marriages, parties, love, happy and sad
times. It oozed FAMILY-LIFE. It just oozed life itself.
So when a white collar
worker came knocking on his door asking him to leave his
beloved lodge and leave it right now or face certain death
you can understand why he said "no way!"
"I've lived here
over 50 years...That mountain's part of me and I'm a
part of that mountain." ... said Harry!
Now Harry is dead. He's
buried under 300 feet of volcanic ash. It happened on May
18th 1980. Mount St Helens erupted. Harry lost his life.
So did 56 others that refused to CHANGE their
circumstances with him! You know ...
