He
couldn’t believe it was me… it wasn’t
To
be honest I just called in for a trim… I left feeling like a
superstar.
air is a funny thing, well I
think it is. You see if you get the type of hairdresser that seems to just
not to care, those type make life a disaster for the next few months.
I had heard of the Big Scissor
Company but to be truthful it was a bit above what I like to pay.
Myself, I am the average client. I don’t want anything special I just want
my hair to look nice most of the day and be easy to do in the morning.
What with a husband, three kids and a dog, time is precious.
I
thought I would try this new salon
I
called
in to the Big Scissor Company just to see if someone could trim my hair for
me just on the off-chance.
This super trendy stylist, you
know piercing, flares, great clothes, approached me and actually offered
a handshake and then introduced himself. That’s never happened before
in a salon. We walked over to the mirror area and we sat down together.
I felt nervous so I just said, “just a trim will be great please”
Time
to change my look
He stopped me in my tracks and
asked, “how long have you worn your hair in that style?”. About ten
years, I replied, “how about a change then?”, he said.
It wasn’t the change I was
scared of, no, it was the looking after it when I got home. "Don't
worry,
no problem", he explained that he wouldn’t let me leave the salon unless
I could manage my new style on my own.
He
never even asked where are you going tonight
He talked me through every
single step of the change. Not the usual hairdresser rubbish. I hate
hairdressers asking where are you going tonight. I am a mum with kids, I
just go home and look after my family like everyone else.
He talked about hair... my
hair...
the amount he cut off, color being used, products and how to put them
on, shampoo, everything. I felt a bit silly but I even had to have a go
at drying it myself in front of other clients.
Three hours later I couldn’t
believe it, maybe my husband would fall in love with me again, I felt
amazing. Looking in the mirror made me feel good, ten years had just disappeared
from me, WOW.
Walking out the
salon door
I nearly died at the price but you know that feeling when you
walk down the street with a new hair-look. My back was straight, head high, hair blowing in
the wind. I couldn’t resist pretending to window shop at every chance just so I could look at my reflection.
I felt really good.
Attention
to detail with my Hair
These Guys know what they are
doing with Hair. The attention to detail was amazing. He showed me the
right products to use, how to hold a hair dryer and use it properly,
brush it right, everything I needed to know to make my new look a
success when I get up in the morning.
The price… it cost nearly £300.00
and I will tell you why. Ladies you know what its like, new hair, new
outfit... I feel amazing.
Will
I go back to the Big Scissor Company?
The truth is this, normally I
pay around £19.00 to have a trim on my hair. Every visit I have at the
Big Scissor Company can cost me around £60.00 with a color and a
haircut.
No-one recognizes me. Everyone
comments on my hair now. People ask where I go to have it done. Believe
me its worth every penny to feel like this again, I will be going back. My Husband… did he
fall back in love with me? You bet, the rest is a secret.
